Dashboard
The Dashboard is your central hub for monitoring email activity, tracking performance metrics, and accessing key features of the FormaMail platform.
Overview
When you log into FormaMail, the Dashboard is the first screen you see. It provides a real-time overview of your email operations, with interactive charts, statistics, and quick action buttons.
Dashboard Sections
π Statistics Cards
The top of the dashboard displays four key metrics:
Total Emails Sent
- What it shows: Total number of emails sent in the selected time period
- Trend indicator: Green arrow (β) for increase, red arrow (β) for decrease compared to previous period
- Click action: View detailed email logs
Delivery Rate
- What it shows: Percentage of successfully delivered emails
- Formula:
(Delivered Emails / Total Sent) Γ 100 - Ideal rate: 98%+ indicates healthy email operations
- Click action: View delivery analytics
Active Templates
- What it shows: Number of published, active email templates
- Includes: Both email and attachment templates
- Click action: Navigate to Templates page
API Calls Today
- What it shows: Number of API requests made today
- Resets: Daily at midnight UTC
- Click action: View API usage details

Interactive line chart showing email activity over the last 30 days.
Three data series:
- Sent (Blue line): All emails sent
- Delivered (Green line): Successfully delivered emails
- Failed (Red line): Failed deliveries
Features:
- Hover over any point to see exact numbers
- Click legend items to show/hide data series
- Automatically updates every 30 seconds
Use cases:
- Identify sending patterns
- Spot delivery issues
- Track growth trends
- Compare different time periods
π Template Usage Chart
Bar chart displaying your top 10 most-used templates.
Shows:
- Template name on X-axis
- Number of times used on Y-axis
- Color-coded bars for visual distinction
Use cases:
- Identify popular templates
- Find templates that need optimization
- Track template adoption
- Plan template retirement
π Recent Activity Feed
Timeline of the last 10 activities across your account.
Activity types:
- Email Sent - New email sent via API or dashboard
- Template Created - New template published
- Template Updated - Existing template modified
- API Key Generated - New API key created
- Team Member Joined - New member added to team
Information displayed:
- Activity icon and type
- Brief description
- Timestamp (relative, e.g., β2 hours agoβ)
- Related user (if applicable)
Quick Actions
Located in the top-right corner of the dashboard:
Send Email Button
- Purpose: Quickly send a one-off email
- Opens: Quick Send modal dialog
- Use case: Testing, urgent communications
Create Template Button
- Purpose: Start designing a new template
- Redirects to: Template designer
- Options: Email template or Attachment template
View API Keys Button
- Purpose: Manage API authentication
- Redirects to: API Keys page
- Use case: Integration management
Time Period Selector
Location: Top-right, next to Quick Actions
Options:
- Last 24 hours
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days (default)
- Last 90 days
- Custom date range
Affects:
- Statistics cards
- Email volume chart
- Template usage chart
- Activity feed
Dashboard Best Practices
Monitor Delivery Rate
- Target: Keep above 98%
- If below 95%: Check for bounces, invalid addresses, or spam complaints
- Action: Review Email Logs for failure patterns
Watch for Spikes
- Sudden increase: May indicate API misconfiguration or loop
- Sudden decrease: Could signal integration issues
- Action: Investigate via Activity Feed
Review Active Templates
- Too many: Consider archiving unused templates
- Too few: May need to create more templates
- Action: Audit template usage quarterly
Track API Usage
- Approaching limit: Consider upgrading plan
- Unexpected usage: Check for unauthorized access
- Action: Review API Keys and permissions

Common Questions
Why is my delivery rate low?
Common causes:
- Invalid email addresses: Clean your recipient list
- Spam complaints: Review content and sender reputation
- Hard bounces: Remove invalid addresses
- Rate limiting: Spread sends over time
Solution: Check Email Logs β Filter by βFailedβ status β Review error messages
How often does the dashboard refresh?
- Automatic refresh: Every 30 seconds
- Manual refresh: Click the refresh icon (β») next to time period selector
- Charts: Real-time updates as data changes
Can I export dashboard data?
Yes! Click the Export button (top-right) to download:
- CSV format for statistics
- JSON format for raw data
- PNG format for charts
