Dedicated Sending

Get your own dedicated IP address for improved email deliverability and complete control over your sender reputation.

Overview

Dedicated Sending provides you with your own isolated IP address for sending emails. Unlike shared IP pools where your deliverability can be affected by other senders’ behavior, a dedicated IP ensures that your sender reputation is entirely in your hands.

Benefits

Own Your Reputation

With a dedicated IP, your email reputation is built solely on your sending practices. Poor behavior from other senders won’t impact your deliverability.

Improved Deliverability

Good senders often see 5-15% improvement in inbox placement rates with dedicated IPs, as ISPs can build trust specifically for your IP.

Enterprise Compliance

Many enterprise security policies require isolated infrastructure for email communications. Dedicated Sending meets these requirements.

Brand Protection

Your IP reputation is tied to your brand, not shared with unknown third parties.

How It Works

1. Subscribe

Navigate to Settings → Dedicated Sending and choose your plan (monthly or annual).

2. Automatic Setup

Once your subscription is active, we automatically provision your dedicated IP pool through AWS SES. This happens within minutes.

3. IP Warmup

New IPs need to build reputation with email providers. AWS SES handles this automatically through adaptive warmup:

  • Gradually increases sending volume
  • Monitors reputation per ISP
  • Typically completes in 4-6 weeks

4. Full Activation

Once warmup is complete (100%), all your emails are sent through your dedicated IP.

Your Dedicated Sending status can be one of:

StatusDescription

Best Practices

Sending Volume

  • Minimum: Send at least 10,000 emails/month to maintain reputation
  • Consistency: Avoid dramatic spikes (>3x normal volume)
  • Gradual growth: If volume increases, let it grow gradually

List Quality

  • Maintain bounce rate below 5%
  • Keep complaint rate below 0.1%
  • Regularly clean your email lists
  • Use double opt-in when possible

During Warmup

  • Be patient (4-6 weeks typical)
  • Don’t rush sending volume
  • Monitor deliverability metrics
  • Avoid sending to cold lists during warmup

FAQ

Who should use Dedicated Sending?

Dedicated Sending is ideal for:

  • Businesses sending 50,000+ emails/month
  • Companies requiring enterprise compliance
  • Senders wanting complete reputation control
  • Brands concerned about deliverability

What happens during warmup?

During warmup, AWS SES gradually increases the volume sent through your dedicated IP while excess emails flow through the shared pool. This ensures uninterrupted delivery while building your IP reputation.

Can I pause my subscription?

Currently, subscriptions cannot be paused. You can cancel and resubscribe later, but you’ll go through warmup again with a new IP.

What if my IP gets blacklisted?

With good sending practices, blacklisting is rare. If it occurs, contact support immediately. We can help investigate and remediate.

Do I need technical setup?

No. Everything is automatic. Once subscribed, your emails automatically route through your dedicated IP.
